Yahoo! Updates iPhone App with Voice Search

Yahoo! today launched voice enabled oneSearch for the Yahoo! Mobile iPhone app. It’s targeted at travelers searching for flight numbers, locations, Web site names, and local restaurants or businesses. Yahoo One Search iPhone App lets users conduct a oneSearch query simply by “pressing and speaking” into the handset. Voice searches work for restaurant listings, sports scores, movie times, and flight status, among other things

The Yahoo! Mobile iPhone app also enables consumers to customize the ‘My Interests’ tab with the power of their voice. Simply click on ‘add anything’, speak the topic you’re interested in, then select the relevant content and add it to your page. The Yahoo! oneSearch with voice application is currently available on more than 80 different devices and across platforms including Blackberry, Nokia, Windows Mobile and the iPhone, with support in eight languages.

The Yahoo! Mobile iPhone app can be downloaded through the iPhone app store. Users with devices on other platforms can download the app by visiting http://m.yahoo.com/voice on their mobile browser.
