Windows Phone 7 Series Needs 800×480, HTC HD2 Users Still Hoping
Microsoft proclaimed the Windows Phone 7 Series and thought that it will become the next generation mobile dais with unbelievable multimedia, gaming, and social media integration competences. We’ve seen a specimen of the mobile OS and we were awestruck. Why? Because Microsoft has beaten Apple and the consumer interface of the WP7S looks amazing. The problem with current Windows Mobile handsets is that they won’t be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 because of hardware necessities.
There is one handset that might support Windows Phone 7 Series, the HTC HD2, but forlornly it features five buttons in its place of three. Could this really be the reason? I don’t really think so. There are new concerns like the Windows CE. Anyway, Shawn Hargreaves from Microsoft, publicized that Windows Phone 7 Series smartphones will have to be based on 800 x 480 toucschreens. The WVGA resolution will be the only one supported at launch, but HVGA 480 x 320 resolution will be supported thanks to a patch coming in early 2011.
Former Windows Phone 7 requirements are devoted hardware and a powerful processor. This is great for game creators who can let their imagination run wild as there will be a GPU in WP7S handsets.
