Unlocked iPhone 3G in Taiwan
Those looking for an officially unlocked iPhone 3G will probably like this piece of news. Apparently, the handset will be soon launching unlocked in Taiwan. And while Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwanese carrier for the iPhone, claims that the device will function only on their network, don’t worry, it’s not true. The only thing you’ll be missing when inserting a different SIM-card is Chunghwa Telecom’s Hami services.
However, do remember that unlocked iPhones are expenseive, going for $800 and $900 for the 8GB and 16GB versions, respectively.
