Tesco Mobile next to sell Apple iPhone
Tesco Mobile will be the fourth UK network to lug Apple’s iPhone, bolstering expectations augmented rivalry will bring inferior prices.
The network connects current souk entrant Orange in offering the gadget, which was beforehand exclusive to O2 clients.
Levy and cost information residue unavailable at this time, but a representative for the network inveterate it anticipations to initiate selling both iPhone 3G and 3GS phones sooner than Christmas. Vodafone will launch the handset in January.
MoneySavingExpert.com consumer products analyst Archna Luthra says: ”After Orange’s failure to offer substantial tariff savings, iPhone fans’ last hope was a Vodafone price drop in January.
“This additional competition can only be a good thing for consumers. Would-be iPhoners should hang on until all the prices are in so they can ensure the best deal.”
Launched in 2003, Tesco Mobile is a mutual venture with O2, and piggybacks on the latter’s network communications for reporting.
