This is still a rumor, but as the rumor goes, T-Mobile is preparing to send out extended batteries (along with a matching battery cover) to T-Mobile G1 users out there. The new battery is rumored to have 1400mAh, which is about a 20% increase over the original 1150mAh battery that users got. An extended battery would certainly appease users who were complaining of the dismal battery life of the G1. If this rumor turns out to be true, G1 users will certainly have cause to celebrate.
