Rogers Wireless has introduced a new affordable messaging phone on the Canadian market – the Samsung Hype A256 (known in the US as Samsung Magnet and available through AT&T since May).

The Hype A256 is a simple candybar that features a full QWERTY keyboard and quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz).

The phone also comes with Bluetooth, MMS, VGA camera, 16MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 16GB). Its battery can last up to 5 hours in talk-time mode, or up to 12.5 days in stand-by.

Samsung Hype A256 is offered by Rogers only on Pay As You Go and costs $89.99 (without a contract agreement, of course). You can buy the phone online and probably also via Rogers’ retails stores.

does anyone know if they plan on making a second colour? I mean i like the blue however i would enjoy a more feminin one. My previous phone, Lg rumour, i bought it when it only had 2 colours (black and white) then couple months later the blue and green one came out.

Do they only have this cell in blue ?
If not that sucks,, I wiish they had red or green or something aha. :P
I have the Lg rumour, pay as you go, white cell right now,
and virgin mobile messed up on my texting thing, and now I have no texting nor internet. This is also a very weak phone, I dropped it ONCE and now it doesn’t vibrate properly. So I wouldn’t mind a cell that doesn’t slide lmao .. & I am NEVER going with virgin mobile AGAIN.
