Nokia records further lawsuit against Apple

5th Jan, 2010 | No Comment | Posted in Nokia

Nokia’s lawful fight against Apple is turning into a legal onslaught with the news that Nokia has filed a second grievance appealing Apple is infringing numerous “implementation patents”.

This follows the unique lawsuit over supposed iPhone manifest contraventions in which Nokia called ten patents that relate to technologies “fundamental to making devices which are compatible with one or more of the GSM, UMTS (3G WCDMA) and wireless LAN standards” and a grievance with the United States International Trade Commission that claims “that Apple infringes Nokia patents in virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players, and computers”.

The latest “implementation patents” protest asks the Commission to veto imports of MacBooks, iPods and the iPhone for infringing its stratagem copyrights.

Apple returned fire in the innovative litigation by filing a countersuit, but has since then remained silent on these latest expansions – we will keep you posted.
