Nokia Contacts On Ovi Loses User Data
Nokia’s Ovi services might sound fun and intriguing, but there is a recent issue that users won’t be too happy about. Sure, you can host all your personal data in the cloud, but what happens when disaster strikes? It seems people who were using Contacts on Ovi lost all their data since January 23rd due to a database crash. Translated, this means that users just woke up to find that contacts and images have disappeared from their phones overnight. One thing that people will certainly be asking though, is whether Nokia perform backups on their servers, as it would be a rather absurd thing to do to run the services without a proper backup plan.
