Motorola’s XT701, MT710, and XT800 do Android for China’s Big Three Carriers
The first one is the XT701 or better recognized as the Motorola Sholes Tablet. All of the earlier reported specs are all there comprising the 5-megapixel camera, and will indeed become vacant on China Unicom. Next to it is the Motorola Zhiling MT710, an innovative handset that will beef up China Mobile’s Ophone fleet. Last, but undoubtedly not the least, is the Motorola Zeppelin XT800 which is making its tactic to China Telecom. All handsets feature a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera, and run on Android. Except for the Motorola Sholes Tablet which was newly reported to be coming to Russia in 2010, all of these phones will be restricted to the Chinese souk only.
It makes you phenomenon though, if Motorola can come out with such phones for China, why can’t they do the identical for the rest of the world? If they did, perchance they wouldn’t be having such a tough time recuperating from their faltering location in the industry.
