Leaked Firmware Update For the BlackBerry Storm
RIM seems to be quite content to let the upcoming firmware for its phones get leaked on a regular basis, and it’s been happening so often nowadays that we aren’t surprised at seeing one anymore. Next up are the leaked firmwares for both the 9500 and 9530, which are OS 4.7.0.106 and 4.7.0.103 respectively. As usual, do remember to back up your data before trying of these things, and understand that you’re trying it at your own risk. Let us know what you think of these unofficial firmwares if you do decide to install them.

Hooray it works! Its about time that something worked on my damn Blackberry Storm. I am on my third phone since November and had nothing but software issues. Just about everything thats listed as fixes on the upgrade went wrong with the two early versions. Now everything runs fast, smooth, and virtually seamless. The qwerty keyboard in portrait is awesome. Phone button is better, flip function super fast, and no slow response when dialing or switching apps. Before this download, my phone used to spend more time “thinking” aka the tiny clock of death. I think Verizon should just get it out there and quit making its loyal customers suffer through endless calls to tech support and phone replacements.
