iPhone App: Reign Of Swords Episode 2 Review
Reign of Swords Episode 2 is a turn-based strategy games not unlike the gameboy game Advance Wars. The game is set in medieval times and is a sequel to the popular mobile game Reign of Swords. Based on an upgrade system, players can create their own unique armies to compete with against evil forces comprised of over 36 different unit types to choose from.
There are enough campaigns on the game to keep players entertained with the story and different characters, but what sets this second installation aside from its predecessor is the new head to head multiplayer mode. After completing a campaign, players unlock the multiplayer mode which allows for them to use their custom armies to play against friends and earn rewards and titles. Multiplayer games can be played both all at once or players can take turns over long periods of time, checking back later to see if their opponent has made a move. Also new to the game are the warp portals that add a new dynamic.
Existing Reign of Swords players can bring their army into Episode 2 as well, just make sure that you upload your army to the server before logging in to Episode 2.
Overall, Episode 2 is a great extension of the first game and is well worth the price paid for the head to head battles and online ranking. IF you enjoy turn-based strategy games, this one might be the one for you. With the promise of new units and push notifications in the next upgrade, this app is shaping to become a great addition to a gamer’s collection. Check it out.
