Digitimes has confirmed that HTC will start to ship the Android-based phone in Q4 this year. According to the company CFO Hui-ming Cheng, HTC has already got its Touch Diamond smartphone on sale in more than 30 countries since its first launches in June.

Now here is yet another clue on the Xperia X1 availability date from the report. The news is indicating that HTC will be shipping the Xperia X1 for Sony Ericsson in this quarter (Q3 2008).
