Gwabbit Ranks Number One Paid App On BlackBerry App World

Since Apple debuted its App Store on iTunes about a year ago, other major mobile phone makers have unveiled their own app stores. Among the phone makers to launch an app store was Blackberry with its App World.

The top paid business app on the Blackberry App World for the eight-week straight is called gwabbit. The application automatically searches and identifies contacts in embedded emails on the smartphone and adds or updates the information in the Blackberry contacts with a single click.

The company says that the gwabbit app has a 150% growth rate in sales. The app is available on the App World store for $19.95. Users looking for a more reasonable price can pay $9.95 annually to use the app as well.
