GPS On Verizon Touch Pro
Users who don’t want to wait for Verizon to unlock the GPS on their mobile phones in the first half of 2009 will be able to follow a guide that has been posted by some users from PPC Geeks. It might be a little tricky, as it involves installing some cab files, running PPST, a soft reset and some hacking with Qualcomm’s QPST programming tool. Quite a few users have given some positive feedback regarding this hack, and are getting GPS locks within a minute using third-party GPS software. As usual, do try these things with caution, as you wouldn’t want to have a bricked cell phone during Christmas.
