It looks like things can only get better for Palm’s Pre as Google’s VP of engineering, Vic Gundotra, was busy showing off a Palm Pre that was running a webapp version of Google Maps, which was completely coded in HTML5 from the bottom up, not to mention that it also performed exactly the same as the native software. This version could even support the Pre’s multitouch navigation, not to mention the usual Google Maps functionality. All this just makes us wish that Palm would release the Pre sooner.
