Google Maps Now Available For Blackberry Storm With GPS

bb_storm Folks who use a Verizon BlackBerry Storm must certainly have been frustrated to find out that the Google Maps is not able to take advantage of the built-in GPS chip in their phone. To make it sound even worse, if the Verizon Storm was unlocked, Google Maps would work fine on any other carrier. Fortunately Google has been working on sorting this out, and has just released an updated version of its Google Maps for BlackBerry which supports GPS out of the box for the Verizon BlackBerry Storm. Do note that this only applies to the BlackBerry Storm, so if you’re running a Curve 8330, 8830 etc, you’re out of luck.
