Apple Discontinues iPhone Bluetooth Headset

Aside from the ever-popular iPhone, Apple also has a rather popular iPhone Bluetooth Headset in its lineup. The single-button headset was first introduced back in June of 2007 along with the iPhone and was bundled with a Dual Dock that allowed users to charge both the iPhone and the headset at the same time. Apple subsequently dropped the price of the headset to $99 (from the original $129), but discontinued the Dual Dock, which was a sad event to many users. Now it seems that Apple has also discontinued its current Bluetooth headset, as it’s listed as “discontinued” on the Apple Store. This could be an indication that Apple is prepping to release an updated version of the product, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.

I really don’t understand the appeal of the Apple Bluetooth headset. I’ve tried it and the sound quality and comfort isn’t nearly as good as some other Bluetooth headsets. Do people not understand that you can use ANY Bluetooth headset with the iPhone? We’ve had much better results with the Jawbone headset here. It works smashingly with the iPhone.
