ABSOLUT VODKA Launches Mobile Drink Application for iPhone and Android
It seems like every company is trying to get in on the popularity of applications for the iPhone. This fact leads to some strange applications being offered. One of the strangest apps I have seen in a while is the Drinkspiration app from Absolut vodka.
The app may be great for the vodka lover who wants recipes for drinks at their fingertips. The app also is location aware and interacts with Facebook and Twitter. The app provides an encyclopedia of drink recommendations based on sprit, taste, weather, time of day, bar vibe, sound volume, and more.
The Swedes must be big fans of vodka; Absolut says that the app is the top free app available in the country with 43,000 downloads in the first 13 days it was offered. A version for Android devices will be offered later this summer.
