Nokia N900 not for AT&T users

A few days ago, Nokia has announced new phone Nokia N900, which we can exptect to become available in the market sometime next month, But Now Nokia has made it clear that they have no plans for WCDMA version of the phone.

AT&T users who are already waiting for a Nokia N900 to be compatible with AT&T network should start looking for an alternative. It seems that N900 wont support AT&T in near future. Though Nokia had said that it would announce the release of the AT&T compatible version of N900.

Even so, today people from Nokia has replied that, At this stage, Nokia has no plans to release WCDMA version of Nokia N900 supporting 850/1900/2100 MHz frequencies. Obviously past reports stemmed from a report which was a complete fiction.

Nokia has made a statement saying, “There have been no announcements regarding a version that supports the 850/1900/2100MHz bands.”
